Temple of Eden Open Stage for Belly Dancers is an opportunity for dancers from the local community, and also from the greater world community that will be gathering in Tucson during the Gem Show, to simply offer the gifts of their dance.  Come and enjoy watching dancers of all back grounds and skill levels and styles.  Be inspired by the beauty of dancers freeing themselves on stage, allow your heart to open as you witness the opening of their hearts through their dance, and delight in the passion expressed through this sensual art form that speaks of empowerment, strength, grace, and sometimes a little bit of attitude and sexiness.  The Temple of Eden is hosting this event twice, once on Feb 2nd and again on Feb 10th, both from 7-8:30pm.  Come enjoy, drink tea, be with beautiful community, and support these lovely dancers in their offering to you.

Kelley's obsession for belly dance began 4 years ago in Northern California, where she took classes for a short period of time with Dhyanis, who helped to lay a very strong foundation of technique in her practice.  For 2 years, almost every day, she practiced on her own, what she learned in that class, as well as from studying youtube videos of belly dancers such as Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, and Sadie.  She had the honor of dancing with Jessica Walker in Belly Dance Tucson for over a year, which took her skill to performance level.  Kelley is now performing with Cirque Roots Productions in Tucson, and is also in process of training another performance troupe, which goes by 2 monikers, one of which is "Big Nasty Shimmy" for when they are expressing through a more playful, comic, and wild side.  The other name has yet to be chosen, but will be for when they are expressing more intentional, sacred, and ritual aspects of feminine energy.  Kelley is excited to learn and fuse together elements of hip hop, Latin dances, ballet, and modern dance, all supported through a core of Tribal Belly Dance, to create a very colorful pallet of self expression and freedom through dance.February 14th, during a very special Valentines Night sweet LOVE fest, Kelly "Mountain Sage",  Erin Deo, Az Ra, & Maggie Racich will surly seduce our senses with a powerful Goddess Belly Dance Prayer-formance.
